Hannover, Germany – Industry 4.0- April 18, 2018 – Cassia Networks and Kontakt.io both Bluetooth IoT innovators, today announced a new strategic partnership to enable faster, more effective Bluetooth beacon and tag experiences for customers in healthcare, supply chain, public venues, and other verticals. The companies bring together Cassia Networks long-range Bluetooth routers and gateways with Kontakt.io BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices and IoT (Internet of Things) platform, to enable customers to quickly deploy easy-to-manage, more productive integrated Bluetooth IoT beacon solutions.

With an integrated Bluetooth IoT beacon solution, users will be able to seamlessly integrate the Kontakt.io hardware and software with their Cassia long-range Bluetooth routers, without the need to spend resources to develop their own integrations or deploy dedicated gateways.

As part of the agreement, Cassia Networks has named Kontakt.io a preferred beacon provider to support the Cassia’s rapidly growing global customer base. In turn, Kontakt.io’s use of Cassia Bluetooth routers in its core solution services to customers provides IoT connectivity that is long-range, stable, and lower-cost. Moreover, Cassia and Kontakt.io tight SDK integration means customers can continue to deploy a variety of new IoT solutions using different Kontakt.io sensor-rich beacons and tags, leveraging Cassia routers.
For example, a healthcare provider may initially deploy a Kontakt.io proximity beacon and Cassia Bluetooth router asset-tracking service for tracking wheelchairs and beds. Then, another set of beacons may be integrated to track IV solutions stands, or a completely separate service such as medical employee check-in, or medical supply chains.
