Cassia Networks is excited to announce that Dr. Guido Jouret, has joined our board as Independent Board Member and Chairman. Dr. Jouret has more than 25 years of leadership experience in a variety of technology sectors including software, services, networking technology, cloud platforms, and hardware; he was recently the Chief Development Officer at Plume, the creator of one of the most widely deployed software platforms for Smart Home and Small Businesses. He is currently a board member and an advisor to various high-tech startups.
Moreover, Dr. Jouret’s contribution has been integral to the success of large, well-established technology companies. From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Jouret was the Chief Digital Officer at ABB, leading its digital transformation. Before ABB, he was with Cisco Systems, Inc., from 1994 to 2014, where he spent more than seven years in its Emerging Technologies group helping to create numerous new internal businesses including TelePresence and, in his final role as General Manager, the Internet of Things Business Unit. From 2014 to 2015 Dr. Jouret was at Envision Energy, a wind turbine manufacturer, where he served as President of Digital Platforms. Prior, from April 2015 to October 2016, Dr. Jouret was the Chief Technology Officer at Nokia Technologies, a division of the telecommunications and consumer technology company, where he spearheaded the launch and development of the consumer healthcare division.
Dr. Jouret joins Cassia’s board at the time when the company is accelerating its product and market expansion. Dr. Jouret commented: “The Internet of Things has been waiting to make it easy to connect devices to the cloud. Bluetooth is the most widely deployed communication technology and Cassia is the worldwide leader in enabling Bluetooth networking. I’m excited to be joining Cassia’s board and look forward to help accelerate the company’s growth.“
Cassia’s Founder and CEO, Felix Zhao, remarked on how excited the Cassia team is to have Dr. Jouret as the new independent board member and chairman. “We believe Dr. Jouret will add a great value to the company and will help the company further accelerate its growth while maintaining its balance in the fast-changing environment,” added Zhao.
